For adults in Georgia who are high-functioning, self-aware, and ready to work on the emotional and relational patterns quietly shaping their lives, through holistic, attachment-based care rooted in lasting change.
You show up for your life, your relationships, your work. But beneath the surface there are emotional patterns that have been quietly running the show.
In how you connect with others, how you feel in your own skin, or in the same relational dynamics that seem to follow you from one chapter to the next.
You're not looking for coping strategies alone. You want to understand what's really happening and build a more secure, coherent relationship with yourself.
You value an integrative approach that honors your whole self, mind, body, and the relational experiences that have shaped you.
Jessica works with adults 18+ who are self-aware and growth-oriented. People who sense that the patterns showing up in their anxiety, their relationships, or their emotional lives point to something deeper worth exploring. This is holistic, heartfelt work. And it creates real change.
Jessica Baker, LCSW brings 13 years of clinical experience across some of the most demanding healthcare environments, and a genuine passion for the kind of therapy that changes people from the inside out.
"Jessica chose social work to center her life work around advocating for people and changing systems. She became a therapist to honor the heartfelt journey of change."
Before founding Hands to Heart Center, Jessica spent years working across acute medical centers, outpatient hospice settings, and a Level 1 trauma center. Jessica has worked alongside patients navigating some of life's most profound challenges, grief, loss, medical trauma, and crisis. Jessica has also trained extensively in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and worked with trauma across the lifespan.
These diverse clinical experiences shaped more than clinical skills. They shaped presence, the capacity to sit with complexity without rushing toward resolution, and a genuine attunement to the person across the room. That depth of experience now lives at the heart of Jessica's private practice.
Jessica chose EFIT, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, because it mirrors what she has always believed: that lasting change comes from the heart of the attachment relationship with ourselves, not from around it.
Graduate training in clinical social work, laying the foundation for a career in direct, relationship-centered care.
Years of clinical work in high-acuity settings, supporting patients and families through medical crises and trauma.
Deep experience holding space for grief, loss, and the profound emotional terrain of end-of-life transitions.
Brought evidence-based care to broader audiences through work in the mental health technology and startup space.
Private practice founded on the belief that the therapeutic alliance, warm, attuned, and deeply honest, is the vehicle for lasting change.
EFIT is not simply a technique. It is a way of going to the heart of attachment, helping you build a more coherent, resilient, and secure relationship with yourself.
At its core, EFIT helps you make sense of your own emotional experience. When anxiety, depression, or relational distress feels fragmented or confusing, we work together to bring your inner world into greater coherence, clarity, integration, and a steadier sense of self.
Many of the patterns that restrict our lives were formed long before we had words for them. EFIT helps you identify the emotional patterns driving your anxiety, your relational dynamics, and your sense of self, and begin to shift them at the root.
Attachment theory teaches us that the relationship we have with ourselves shapes everything else. EFIT works directly on this, helping you develop a more secure, compassionate, and honest relationship with your own emotional experience.
This work is not about managing symptoms. It is about building the kind of internal security that allows you to move through life with greater ease, connection, and emotional freedom, resilience that belongs to you, not to a technique.
"The therapeutic relationship we build together in this work, the safety, the attunement, the honesty, is not just part of the healing. It is a living model of the secure connection you are learning to have with yourself."
All sessions are completely private, held via HIPAA-compliant secure video, so you can show up fully, from wherever you are in Georgia.
One-on-one 60-minute sessions with Jessica, tailored to your emotional patterns, your history, and your goals. Holistic, attachment-based, and deeply personal. Evening and weekend availability.
A complimentary 15-minute call to hear a little about where you are, answer your questions, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit. Relaxed, no pressure, no obligation.
Anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational distress are often how deeper emotional patterns make themselves known. EFIT works beneath the surface, addressing what is driving them, not just how they appear.
Anxiety is rarely just worry. It is often a signal from a nervous system shaped by attachment experiences and emotional patterns learned long ago. We work to understand what it is communicating, and help your system find a new way to be.
Depression often lives in the disconnection between who we are and who we have learned to be. EFIT helps restore a more coherent, compassionate, and alive relationship with yourself, one that is sustainable, not performed.
Drawing on years of clinical experience in trauma settings and training in CBT and somatic approaches, Jessica brings a careful, attuned presence to trauma work, supporting integration at your pace, without rushing toward resolution.
How we learned to attach shapes how we show up in every relationship. Whether it is difficulty trusting, chronic people-pleasing, or recurring relational distress, this work helps you identify and transform those patterns at their source.
When emotions feel difficult to access, overwhelming, or hard to make sense of, EFIT provides a structured and compassionate path toward greater emotional coherence, and a more secure, regulated internal world.
Jessica integrates EFIT with somatic awareness and CBT-informed approaches, honoring the whole person, body, mind, and relational history. Care that treats you as a full human being, not a set of symptoms.
